25% of all Google.com searches in USA are YouTube-related. 10 to 12 years ago there were discussions ongoing about a new disease called “pictures on web sites”. Some said that these pictures would be unnessecary and would melt down data traffic. Well…

Watch me shooting

Troop Tube is a military YouTube (Which is banned from US-army computers) for soldiers to send video and greetings to the ones at home and in the field. It is a matter of censorship as well, as GIs used other video platforms to show that being embedded in a war might not mean being nice to his own command and follow official communication rules. A lot of video stuff went out to show the real war in Iraq. Journalists are a yesterday`s channel.

Google TV or TV on Google

YouTube starts a money channel (well, might be slightly too late for house owners in US). So: Is TV moving to Google or is Google mooving to be TV? Or do we have to get rid of “TV” as we got rid of “Horsepower”.
